The DC Palestinian Film and Arts Festival presents it's Back to Back Documentary program. This film program is available to watch 24 hours after the premier.

THE BRIDE DRESS (2019) // DIR. MARWAH JBARA-TIBI

The film captures the journey of two Palestinian brides, Lubna and Sumoud, who share the same wedding dress and the same challenge of having their grooms present on their wedding days. A political prisoner, Sumoud's Fiancé watches his engagement party through video from behind bars, and Lubna’s groom, denied an entry permit, takes the risk of being smuggled into Nazareth. In the film, we watch how the simple joy of marriage can turn into something much more complicated.

FISHLESS SEA (2018) // DIR. ALMALIK ABOUSOUDA & SAMER QATTA

Fishless sea is about a family from Jaffa expelled to Gaza in 1948, they used to work in the sea, they inherit this job generation after a generation, the father Abu Alaa’ who has a ship and still working as a fisherman along with his children in Gaza insisting that one day the sea will open his hands for its owners , but after the siege became severe the children see Israeli Siege on their sea make them think of leaving their ancestor's job and looking for any other sources to feed their babies.
